DESCRIPTION: Taos is a full aniline leather offering a soft natural feel. The thick crust is first milled for six hours to totally open the fiber network of the steer's skin structure allowing for maximum absorption of anilines, oils and resins in the ensuing steps. The hides then go through four passes of intense aniline dyes that are sprayed on to enrich the natural color of the aniline dyed crust. The leather is then subjected to heat and pressure that impregnates the hides with natural oils and resins. Last, the hides are sprayed with a base anchor solution causing the color to bond to the leather. The top coat of matte lacquer is then applied in conjunction with a super soft touch feel agent. The final step is a low heat ironing technique that gives Taos a very smooth and soft grain structure that gives this leather both visual appeal and super soft hand.
